In true Smurf fashion this book is absolutely adorable! it is the story of how the smurfs wanted to go see a beautiful blue moon. However, there were a lot of clouds blocking their view. The smurfs decided to talk to a high point that would allow them to see the blue moon over the clouds. In going on their walk they encountered many different fun things that delayed their trip. This became difficult for one of the smurfs who wanted to take the straight path that would take them there quicker. He continued to ask when they would get there until finally Papa smurf ensured that they took the straight path. They did get there much quicker however, when falling asleep, the smurfs discussed their trip. They talked about all the fun things they did on the way when taking the more scenic route. They even agreed that some of the things they did on the scenic route were fun and worth it. This is such a wonderful way to encourage children to see that a scenic route can be just as fun if not more than taking the easier route. The smurfs are an amazingly incredible book that comes with beautiful lessons.

5/5 highly recommend
