Review of Expect a Miracle by David Petrovic and Sandy Petrovic

Expect a Miracle by David Petrovic and Sandy Petrovic Is a moving and inspiring first hand account of a families journey with Autism. This book is told through first person and goes back and forth between Sandy, David’s mother and David’s own telling of their experiences. There are beautiful moments and moments that are sad but lead to learning and growing. This book being told through a mother and son’s eyes is very different and done in such a relatable way. It is a beautiful account of Autism with tips, ideas and resources that a family may not have known about. It gives a family that has just gotten the diagnosis or been struggling with it hope for their own child to reach their potential. The Petrovic family has done an incredible job with this book and I would recommend it to any family, whether they have a little one with autism or not. We all can benefit from learning from the experiences of this amazing family.
