Family Heroes: Keeping us healthy by Harriet Evans review

This beautiful book highlights different professions that work to help others and keep people healthy. The author writes in a simple rhyme that will appeal to all ages. Each page showcases a different pair of parents with a different profession, sharing the positives that come with being a doctor, a dentist, or even an (often-underrecognized) veterinarian. Simple illustrations still manage to enhance readers’ understanding and engagement. This book is about being healthy, but it is even more a means of highlighting jobs that keep people safe. This wonderful introduction to helping professions may even help little ones who are afraid of doctors or hospitals or dentists to see them in a more positive view. Highly recommended for any family of young children.
