The cover and title of this book say so much about its contents! It is beautiful compilation of real-life individuals who are some of the worlds top athletes. It begins discussing the origins of the Paralympics which is very interesting. It discusses how there are different countries that host the games each summer and winter similar to the Olympics. It also talks about the founder of the Paralympics. This book begins with such inspiring content it will make any one reading it want to continue on. It then goes on to talk about different paralympic athletes. Each page has real-life photos and such beautiful, inspiring stories. Any person reading this book is going to be engaged, inspired and want to learn more about the Paralympics. It is more than a book about Canadian athletes, it is a book about history and individuals that are considered heroes, admired by everyone. A true gem for any library.
