After my first published book

The first book in my series Lets Talk! came out in July 2020. This has been a total dream come true. Since it has been published i have actually written book two, three and half of book four. I know the structure and ideas behind the fifth and sixth final book as well.

It has been an interesting time with the pandemic. I feel like because i have been home more i have been able to be creative and write more. Writing has kept me busy and helped me to channel my creative side.

Since publishing, it has been a total blur to understand the world of being a children’s book author. There are so many doors that open such as reviewing books and getting into marketing. It can be overwhelming and at times I feel like I am failing at it. But when I am actually on top of things it feels amazing. It is like this whole new world opened up for me and I can explore and make it my own.

Also, something I realized is how much freedom i had with self publishing my book. I always thought I would want a traditional publisher and still do but now with this experience under my belt, I feel like ill be smarter when and if a traditional publisher comes along. Looking forward to more of my books being published and all the fun that comes with it in the world of writers.
